Calliston Cavaliers
ABOUT US
Calliston Cavaliers was started in 2000 shortly after we adopted our first Cavalier, Carousel's Mad About You (Maddie). I have always been a cat lover, but when my sister, Margot Johnson of Carousel Cavaliers, adopted her second Cavalier in 1998, I fell in love with her. She was the prettiest and sweetest puppy I had ever seen. About 18 months later, she had her first litter which consisted of six puppies. I visited my sister every day just to see the puppies. It was then that I knew I wanted to have a Cavalier of my own. We took home the third born puppy which was a beautiful black and tan. Also at that time, I knew I wanted to bring healthy, happy and loving puppies to other adoptive parents.
We obtained our second Cavalier in November of 2003, Carousel's Miss-Tif-A-Riffic (Tiffy). My sister had decided that she wanted to keep Tiffy, but unfortunately didn't have the room in her home to keep her and asked us if we would like to keep her in our home. Of course, we said yes! Our third Cavalier came to us when Maddie had her last litter of puppies. We were hoping for a tri boy, but to our surprise not only did Maddie have a tri boy, but she also had a tri girl which was the last puppy born. I fell in love with her and knew that she was going to remain in our home, Calliston's Fair One (Kenna)..
I am a small (one litter a year) hobby breeder living in south Everett, Washington for the last 19 years. Our puppies are raised in our family room and are part of our family while they are living with us. The training process begins as soon as the puppies are able to go outside. Our focus is to raise loving, healthy and structurally sound Cavaliers. All of our puppies are sold on a "spay"/"neuter" contract with a two year guarantee against MVD. Puppies leave our home when they are approximately nine weeks old and have received their first "puppy shot", have had a well puppy exam (checks health and heart) and have had their eyes tested for anomalies. We pride ourselves on breeding a consistently healthy, loving Cavalier that has a consistent look and a loving, friendly temperament.
